What this is

FAQs are one of the highest-quality formats for AI citation

An FAQ section packs more potential AI citations into less space than almost any other layout. Each question and answer pair stands on its own, which is exactly what AI tools want when they pull a passage to quote. The structure is also clear: the question shows what the user wants, and the answer says what your brand thinks about it. Pages with strong FAQs are often cited for questions the rest of the page does not even mention.

This tool gives you 5 to 8 high-quality FAQs based on either a topic, or a topic plus pasted content (so the answers stay grounded in your material). It also gives you the matching schema code (FAQPage JSON-LD) that you can drop into the <head> of your page.

How to write FAQs that actually get cited

  • Real questions, not generic ones. The tool focuses on questions a real buyer would type: comparison, pricing, troubleshooting, and decision questions. Not just "What is X?"
  • Answers that lead with the answer. 2 to 4 sentences. No "Great question!" lead-in. Just the facts.
  • Each question covers a different angle. Five lightly-reworded versions of the same question are not useful to anyone.
  • Specific names where possible. Real tools, products, and numbers are what AI tools treat as trustworthy.

About the schema code

The FAQPage schema is still valid by schema.org standards. Google removed standard FAQ rich results from search listings in 2023, but the markup is still read by Bing, Perplexity, ChatGPT, and other AI tools. It costs almost nothing to add, so it remains best practice. The tool gives you a clean <script type="application/ld+json"> block. Paste it into the <head> of your page or push it through your tag manager.

Tip: the FAQ block belongs near the bottom of the page, not the top. The top is for your main answer. The FAQ at the bottom catches the long list of related questions the rest of the page does not directly address.

If you already have FAQ copy and only need the schema code, use the Schema Markup Generator instead. Paste your questions and answers and it builds the schema for you live.
